If everybody passing by in the street smiles at you, there would be two possibilities: you are in trouble ( the best solution is to rush to a show window and check if you forget to zip something ) or... you are in USA. Oops! I came up with another cause ( but apparently not fit for me ) -- you are PRINCE/SS CHARMING!!! It was the initial thought in my first day in Milwaukee.

Walking along the Wisconsin Ave as the maiden voyage, I was rather surprised to find EVERYBODY SMILED AT ME!!! Having made sure I was dressing perfectly, I relaxed and started to find out WHY. I knew most people here are so easy-going -- they'd like to give you a hand whenever possible (no wonder Americans seldom hesitate to ask so-called "silly questions" in Chinese eyes -- there are always people patient enough to tell you all about it ). But I never expected they would smile and say hi to every stranger in the street. How come?

Later on I figured it out. They don't smile at every stranger but me. Hehe... Guess what? Coz I stared at everybody walking towards and forced them to greet. *^^*
