Last night Tianyi and I saw off a friends who was leaving for California. It was my very first time to send a friend away -- I usually try to avoid it in fear of inability to handle this kind of situation. On the way to airport, I teased the friend as usual, "I really wish the flight would be cancelled". Guess what? The flight was put off to the next morning [ Was it under my curse? I should try buying lottery yesterday. ]. Fortunately I'm not powerful enough to stop the flight again and my friend finally went on his way.

Another friend had planed to visit me this Tuesday but pitifully she couldn't make it. I can totally understand it but still felt somewhat disappointed. I believe we still have a bunch of chances to meet in the future, but I thought this one would be exciting. Anyway, someone was not supposed to leave, but left; someone was supposed to come, but didn't. In our life, friends just come and go; in friends' lives, we just stop and leave.
