Best treatment for homesickness. Having some iced mung bean soup in summer days has been a family tradition.

Here is my recipe.

1. Add some mung bean and water into rice cooker. Cook them like rice.

2. Be patient and you'll get thick and hearty mung bean soup.

你最讨厌的是香菜,我最讨厌的是豆子(MM豆除外)。

Is there any chance the mung bean will ruin the rice cooker? Also, how long does it usually take to cook in the rice cooker?

Hi Marie,

As long as you cook it in a right way, the mung bean will not harm the rice cooker, let alone ruin it. At least it is so for me.

The time depends on how much water and mung bean you have. I'd suggest you watch it from time to time in case all the water would go away. If it does, just add as much water as you want.

Good luck!!!
