I love the ridiculously warm Thanksgiving in Twin Cities!

We set off Tuesday afternoon. On the way I took American Pop Music 101 lectured by Ms. Glover. The final was fun: the grade is positively related with the extent to which I burst into laugher when hearing "Weird Al" Yankovic’s parody stuff. Unsurprisingly, I got an A.

In return I taught Katherine to count 1 to 99 in Chinese. In light of her unique Chinese learning curve “practice makes worse,” in the following days we practiced in the morning and evening only. Now she can translate Chinese numbers into English and vice verse. YAH!!!

I got so many things done in the six days. To make a laundry list:

Met Katherine’s parents again. Every midnight we squished into the bedroom in fear of waking them up [ but we did ].

Had Thanksgiving dinner with her family. Four of us are all only child. We even had a kids’ table, YAH!!!

Hung out with her extremely wonderful friends: Andrew, Brian, Eugene…what else can I say? I love those people!!!

Watched a bunch of funny movies: The core, Ghost busters, Trading places, Marx Brothers’ A Night at the Oper & A Day at the Races…I watched the last two with Eugene because we both hate parties and successfully avoided one on Friday night.

Studied in Katherine’s coffee shops Spyhouse and Cupcake. At Cupcake I had the very first carrot muffin in my whole life [everybody knows I hate carrots so much!].

Visited the Mall of America. I saw the legendary rollercoaster but didn’t shop!

Went to the exhibit of Bodyworld at Science Museum of Minnesota. No offence but Andrew and I couldn’t help thinking about beef jerky at the sight of the runner and his flying muscles [ you need to be there to know what I mean].

Took pictures of Spoonbridge and Cherry. I saw it on a magazine when I was a kid.

On the way back to Chicago we drove with so many deer hunters. I refilled a package of peanut M&Ms with peanut butter M&Ms to trick Katherine. Hmmm…it was a sweet revenge.
